Metro Air Ambulance has been transporting critical patients by fixed wing air ambulance over the past 17 years. As of January 1st 2003,  through a cooperative venture with Medcenter One Health Systems and Metro-Area Ambulance Service, Inc., Bismarck Air Medical, LLC was formed.  

     This allows us to offer the same “state of the art” patient care on the ground or in the air, utilizing 2 twin engine and pressurized Cessna 414 aircraft.  The aircraft are fitted with an easy loading patient transport configuration, are all weather certified, are equipped with weather radar and are capable of cruising at a speed of 200 mph.   

     We continuously train our Flight Team Members to care for patients at the critical care level.  Our teams have training and experience in central lines, swan ganz monitoring, arterial line monitoring, mechanical ventilators, 12-lead EKG with advanced interpretation, thrombolytic therapy and rapid sequence intubation.
