Metro Area Ambulance has equipped its quick response units with LifePak 500 automatic defibrillator units. The intent of these automatic defibrillator units is to better serve the residence of the counties of Burleigh and Morton by having a way to deliver an electrical shock to the heart in the cases of cardiac arrest when the closest Advanced Life Support unit is 25-30 minutes away. Through ongoing education these lifesaving machines are a benefit to anyone in need. The first responder groups level of training ranges from the certified First responder to NREMT-Paramedic.
