* Local and Long Distance emergency transfer services. * Local and Long Distance non-emergency transfer services. * Local and Long Distance intercept services. * Scheduled Fixed Wing air ambulance services.
All of our Ambulance units are configured as Mobile Intensive Care Units. Along with highly trained staff, each ambulance carries:
* Oxygen. * Cardiac, Blood Pressure, Oxygen Saturation Monitoring Equipment. * A full compliment of medical emergency medications. * State of the art monitors with defibrillation/pacing/12-lead capabilities. * Intravenous fluid infusion pumps. * Patient Ventilator when needed. * Standard advanced life support equipment, basic life support equipment and patient supplies.
Our medical team member paramedic may accompany the patient on elective transfers of non-critical patients who require only the minimal monitoring. Though the patient may only require minimal care, all of the standard emergency equipment and medications are always available in the ambulance should the need arise. A transport is never considered routine.
Our co-medical direction consists of two experienced emergency room physicians committed to the ongoing improvement of pre-hospital care. Their expertise in their respective fields allows them the ability to provide us with the most current treatment methods available. Some of which include:
* Field 12-Lead capabilities - allows us to detect suspected myocardial infarctions and/or potential lethal dysrhythmias. * Field TPA administration - (we are one of very few pre-hospital ALS Providers, nation wide, with this capability) - allows us to promptly begin heart muscle saving treatment. * RSI (Rapid Sequence Induction) - Advanced airway management technique utilizing sedation.
Our staff are certified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and licensed through the North Dakota State Board of Medical Examiners. Other certifications held by our staff include:
* BLS - Basic Life Support provider and instructor. * ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider and/or instructor. * PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support provider and/or instructor. * BTLS - Basic Trauma Life Support provider and/or instructor.
As an Advanced Life Support Service Provider we are committed to maintaining the highest quality in patient care. We continue to do this by utilizing the latest in high tech equipment, patient care driven medical direction, and highly advanced procedures perfected by ongoing training and field experience.
I am sure you are aware that when life-saving procedures are needed, time is the major deciding factor in patient survivability. We offer a prompt safe response and are committed to providing this high level of patient care to our primary response area as well as all neighboring ambulance services through our mutual aid agreement program.
Our mutual aid program is designed to offer our Advanced Life Support and specialized services, when needed, to our neighboring ambulance services at their request. This need may arise due to patient condition, staffing, home town coverage, weather, or many other reasons. Ambulance services are welcome to participate in this program on an "as needed" basis.
In addition to the services listed above our Advanced Life Support services are available for standby events such as company picnics, sports events and concerts.
